Rosemarie Albanese, known as Rose is a Brooklyn, NY-based singer-songwriter born to a Haitian mother who emigrated to New York at 16 and an Italian-American father from Brooklyn.

Rose spent her early years training as an opera singer at various performing arts schools as music became a sanctuary. Seeking more intellectual stimulation, she unexpectedly pivoted to pursue a career in brand strategy, working with brands like Hinge at a strategy and design consultancy in NYC.

After years of performing others' works, Rose turned to songwriting as a way to reclaim her voice. Her lyrics reflect personal experiences of growth, the complexity of relationships, and the lingering effects of parentification from her youth. Rose's music, marked by full emotion and lyrical vocals informed by operatic training, is now taking center stage as she shares her music with the world. Her debut single, “Heavy Hitter,” is set to release on September 25th, 2024, on all music streaming platforms.
